Welcome to the IV Line Insertion Training Course, an on-demand learning program developed by the Johannesburg Infusion Centre. This half-day training session is designed to serve as a comprehensive refresher and skill enhancement opportunity, offering a focused, hands-on session to sharpen your technique.
Ideal for both experienced nurses seeking a refresher and newer professionals aiming to build competence, this workshop empowers participants with the skills and confidence to perform IV insertions safely and efficiently in real-world settings.
Please note: This course can be facilitated for a minimum of 4 and maximum of 10 healthcare professionals
This on-demand training covers:
- A revision of the anatomy of common venipuncture sites
- Learning or reviewing techniques for inserting peripheral IV lines with live practice on an Advanced Venipuncture Arm
- Learning to calculate accurate infusion rates
- Essential best practices for safe and effective IV therapy.
